Well, game two with the dodgers seemed very familar to game six of the world series. The Giants played solid and lead the whole way taking a 3-0 lead into the eighth inning. Then, relief pitching and defense let them down. You could feel it coming like a train wreck but kept thinking they might just avoid it. Well, look at how this worked out. Barry has been sitting on 699 for about a week now and even went through a series on the road just now where they pitched to him. Now he's heading home and it just seems appropriate that he hit it there, perhaps in a game where it means somethings as the Giants try to stay in the running for the wildcard slot. It seems like there has been a bit of a reversal of roles this year as the Giants are playing pretty flat baseball while the Dodgers are on an early season tear.
